Subject: Zachary All Grown Up Chapter 93 Zachary All Grown Up Chapter 93 By JJ [ ail ] NIFTY IS ONE OF THE FEW PLACES WHERE YOU CAN FIND ANY STORY IMAGINABLE AND IT’S FREE!! HELP KEEP IT THAT WAY. PLEASE DONATE!! THANKS Chapter 93 I woke up with a huge piss hardon. I looked at the clock and it was almost 3am the normal time we would be getting up for the gym and work. I got up pissed and went to look in on Stephen. It looked like he never moved and the socks were right where I left them. I looked out the window and it was snowing lightly and the streets had not been plowed. I went downstairs and looked at where I had shoveled hours before and it looked like only 6-8″ fell. I got the spiral ham I had taken out of the freezer a few days ago and put it in the crock pot for lunch/supper. I went up to bed there was nothing I could do for another few hours. I slipped into bed and accidently touched Zachary and he jumped and said ‘Geez you feel like ice. Where were you?’ I laugh ‘I had to pee and then I made the rounds.’ Feeling bad he rubbed me from a distance till I warmed up. He asked ‘What did you see?’ I answer ‘Still snowing lightly, nothing plowed yet and looks like another six or so inches since I shoveled. Do you want to fool around?’ He chuckled and answered ‘If we were alone you wouldn’t even have to ask. Just hold me for now.’ We spooned with my boner between his legs and one hand caressing his hardon. I was nuzzling his neck and he whispered ‘Be careful no love bites.’ I laughed. We must have fallen asleep for the next thing I knew it was near six. I listened and the house was quiet it was still gray out no sun. I didn’t want to get out of bed and I was quite comfortable and warm. I closed my eyes again and when I woke again it was just after 6:30 but this time I was wide awake and needed to piss again. I got up went grabbed sweats and a thermal top and went and washed up and piss. I looked in at Stephen and he was laying there awake but all snugged under his blankets. I asked ‘How long have you been awake?’ He answered ‘Not long I heard you in the bathroom and wanted you to stop in here.’ I say ‘The plows haven’t come by yet. Let me see if it is still snowing.’ Stephen says ‘I never woke up last night at all so I guessed they didn’t come by.’ I looked out the window and the streets were still untouched and it was still snowing lightly. My guess was there had to be a decent forty or so inches out there. I decided that I was going out to shovel what I could so that once the plows cleaned the streets I could clean the driveways and cars. I asked Stephen ‘What do you want for breakfast?’ He smiles ‘Papa can we have oatmeal and English muffins with honey again?’ I smile and say ‘Of course let me go down and start it. Then I’m going out to do a fast shovel then we can eat. You can stay in bed if you want till it is ready.’ He just nodded and I left. I made the oatmeal thankful he wanted something simple and took more muffins out of the freezer. The spiral ham was ready and took that out of the crock pot to cool. With the oatmeal done I got dressed and went out and shoveled the back deck, the steps between the two vehicles and cleared in front of the garage where the snow blower was. It was still snowing lightly and there was 8-10″ from when I shoveled last night. My truck and Zachary’s Explorer were buried there was at least four feet of snow around them. I was glad I went out the few times to shovel it only took me about thirty minutes to clear that up. I went in and Stephen was waiting for me. I asked ‘When did you get up?’ He answered ‘Just now I was watching you and I wanted to help you get your stuff off.’ I say ‘Awww grandson that was great of you.’ He put my shoes, gloves and hat by the radiator. I went down with my coat and then ran up to change my sweats. When I came down he was watching the news. He says ‘Papa they say the sun isn’t coming out till after lunch but the snow is almost done. There are no cars on the roads it is spooky. Why haven’t the plows come by?’ I ask ‘Are you hungry?’ He says ‘Yes I am.’ I heat his oatmeal while his muffin is toasting and he sits at the island. I answer his questions. I say ‘It is Saturday everyone is home and I’m sure no one is going out unless it is an emergency. Secondly there is a lot of snow out there and it is probably taking a long time to clean the main roads and if any trucks have broken down then it will be longer. I’m pretty sure they will come by with the pay loader like last year to pick up all this snow. I think this is more than what we got last year.’ In between bites Stephen asks ‘Do you think we will have school Monday?’ I say ‘I would say more yes than no but you can never tell.’ He then asks ‘Papa are we ever going to get to go sled riding?’ I laugh ‘If not today definitely tomorrow.’ While we were eating the weather came on and they are predicting another storm for Sunday afternoon with the possibility of another two feet. Stephen heard it and says ‘Papa we won’t have school if that happens. But Papa will we run out of milk and stuff.’ I say ‘First off there is a chance that it maybe rain which will get rid of most of the snow we have now. Secondly we all have enough food in our freezers that we won’t starve and if we run out of milk you and Zachary can drink eggnog. Third I’m sure I will be able to go shopping in the morning.’ Stephen says ‘Oh okay but what about milk for your coffee?’ I answer ‘Don’t worry I have plenty of canned milk for my coffee and cooking.’ The phone rings and I motion for Stephen to answer. Stephen says ‘Hell-o yes I am still here. I can’t go home nothing has been plowed. What is Anthony doing? He is! That’s what Papa and I had too. Did the plows go by your street yet? It is. Okay here is Papa.’ He hands me the phone and takes off to change the channel on TV and I hear the theme song to Green Acres. I take the phone and say ‘Morning what’s going on?’ Anthony tells me how his two boys and he shoveled the walkways around the house near ten last night to get them tired for bed and also so it wouldn’t be bad this this morning. I told him we got another 6 or so inches that I was already out and how Stephen was afraid we would run out of food more so milk. We decided whoever was able to get out in the morning would go shopping for essentials. The next storm if it came wasn’t starting till after lunch. Anthony hasn’t seen a plow since late yesterday afternoon like us. I told him there were probably two good reasons the first these guys were resting and secondly mechanical issues. They would more than likely be coming by with pay loaders to remove the piles of snow. Anthony was also feeling restless at being stuck in the house. I told him no use in clearing his driveways till the street gets done it will only get pushed back. Everyone was still sleeping at his house except little Ant. Anthony made oatmeal for breakfast like I did. I told him I doubted very much we would go sledding today unless the streets get cleared fast. I say ‘Let’s talk tonight so we can make plans for shopping in the morning.’ I no sooner hung up the phone when there was a plow coming down the street. Stephen almost hurt himself trying to get upstairs. He shouted ‘Papa there is a huge plow. Hurry up come upstairs.’ I got upstairs just in time to see a dump truck fitted with a plow pass my house the driver had the plow turned straight as he went by the house pushing the snow up against the Water Co. property. He backed up and this came down on Mario’s side with the plow turned toward the road pulling it away from his driveway and walkway. Then he backed up again and cleared the center of the street backed out and then did my side with the plow turned away from my driveway. Backed up again and cleared the center two more times on second trip down he turned around at the end of the street. As he drove by the driver blew the horn and waved to Stephen who almost pissed his pajamas. Then a smaller truck came by and sanded the road the snow had basically stopped. It wasn’t too long after that we heard the plow on Stephen’s street. I say ‘I am going out to snow blow the driveway. Do you want to come outside with me? If yes go to the bathroom and I will get your clothes out to change into.’ Stephen didn’t even answer he took off for the bathroom and I got his clothes ready. When he came out I told him two pairs of socks and thermals his snow pants were downstairs. I stopped in my bedroom and put on a pair of thermals and another pair of socks. Of course none of this commotion woke Zachary. I sat on the bed to put my second pair of socks on and he opened his eyes. Stephen came in and says ‘Zachary the plow came by and Papa and I are going outside. Papa help me with putting this other pair of socks on.’ I put him on the bed and put the socks on and Stephen starts laughing ‘Papa he is naked again. Zachary and DJ never sleep in clothes.’ I ask ‘How do you know he is naked? Stephen looks at me like I am an idiot answers ‘Papa look he doesn’t have a shirt on and that means they are naked.’ Then he looks at Zachary and says ‘Right?’ and Zachary smiles and nods. I say ‘Oh, okay I get it.’ Zachary says ‘Have fun I will be out in a little while.’ Downstairs I put the snow pants on him, his boots and hat. I then put on my one piece hunting coverall my boots and hat. I put our jackets and gloves on and we go outside. Stephen wants to shovel the deck while I snow blow the front of the house. He is bored in ten minutes and comes out front with me. I say to him ‘Start making a snowman or start brushing off the cars.’ He does neither just keep making snow balls to throw. After I finish he front of the driveway I start my truck and Zachary’s explorer. I brush the snow off and pull them out into the street then I finish clearing the driveway and return the vehicles. I take Stephen by the hand and we go over and I do the walk in front of Mario’s and then I shovel the front steps. Mario is doing his driveway and his car and truck are warming up. I put Stephen up on their front porch and pull both vehicles out after I clean them off so he can finish the driveway. With Stephen and the snow blower I clear the path from Mario’s to Andrea’s that we use as a shortcut. Then with Stephen I clear their driveway that is one less thing the boys have to do. We are finished now all that is left is to make a snowman. As we are crossing the street Zachary is finishing clearing off our back deck and stairs. Zachary says ‘I am going to shovel the porches across the street and put their cars back in the driveway. You guys did everything fast. What are you going to do now?’ I answer ‘Make a snowman over here and then you are going to make one with Stephen over there.’ Stephen yells ‘Yeah!!’ I put the snow blower away and we start by the time we are finished the snowman is a good five feet high. He wore a beat up top hat I saved for this purpose and had rocks for eyes and a mouth and a wooden dowel for a nose his arm were two broken broom sticks I had also saved. When we had finished Zachary was ready to start the snowman over there. I went in and had coffee while the two of them did it. Inside with the grandparents we talked and laughed. I told them I was going shopping in the morning and what did they need in case that second storm was coming. Maria says ‘Just milk and eggs if we are getting the second storm. If the storm isn’t coming we will do our normal Monday shopping. Don’t let me forget to give you the tin of cookies I made yesterday.’ Mario says ‘The guy who plows our ward is a friend of mine and how the city gave the drivers orders not to plow anyone in if they didn’t have to and I asked him if he remembered and if he saw a little boy watching out of your house to wave to him.’ I answer ‘That saved us a lot of work this morning by him doing that. Wow he did wave and he blew his horn. Stephen almost wet himself.’ I told them how he wants to be drive plow truck when he gets older and how he was afraid we were going to run out of food and milk with this second storm.’ Maria says ‘The TV is bad at times they don’t realize little ones are listening. Mario laughs ‘No he is like Zachary they like to eat and drink.’ I got up to leave and Maria gave me the cookies and a bag that had a kit to complete a snow man she bought online to give to the boys on my way home. Outside I gave them the bag they were almost finished this snowman was at least six feet high. I told them I was going home and come in when they were finished. Stephen didn’t even notice I had cookies he was into building the snowman. I say ‘Don’t go into Maria’s all wet and snowy say Hell-o from out here and come in once you are cold. Okay?’ Stephen says ‘Okay Papa we are almost finished.’ I cross the street and go inside. I get undressed and change my clothes I grab a water and turn on the tree and the TV. They are still calling for snow for early Sunday afternoon another foot or so. I just close my eyes when the two of them come in laughing and talking. I listen to the two of them. I hear Zachary say ‘Wait let me get my jacket off first. Give me your jacket now sit and take off your boots.’ Stephen says ‘Take off your boots and give me your hat and gloves.’ I hear Zachary run down to the cellar with the jackets. He says ‘Stephen now take off your snow pants. Are your socks wet?’ Stephen answers ‘No just sweaty and stinky.’ Zachary runs back down with the snow suit and his one piece suit. He comes up and asks ‘Are your thermals wet?’ Stephen says ‘No it was just my socks.’ He runs up to get another pair and comes down and jumps on me. He says ‘Papa you have to look out the window at the snowman that Zachary and I built it is huge.’ I ask ‘Are you hungry? It is almost lunchtime.’ Stephen says ‘I can eat.’ I laugh at that. I get up and first look at their snowman it is huge!’ Zachary and Stephen stay in their thermals as I make lunch. Zachary makes the beds and straightens up and I heat up the barley soup and make grilled cheese sandwiches. We will have the ham and sweet potatoes for supper. I can’t help staring at Zachary in his thermals they hug his butt beautifully I have a hard time keeping from getting a boner. We sit at the island and eat. Stephen asks ‘Can we go sledding later?’ I say ‘I don’t know if they have cleared the schools your brothers will know from their friends if anyone is sledding. You can call DJ or Eric after lunch.’ Stephen laughs ‘Unless they are out there still shoveling. Zachary and I snuck over and looked. They had a lot to do yet.’ I say I cleared in front of the driveway so they only have the front walk to do unless they got out there late.’ Zachary gets one of the tin of cookies from on top of the fridge and says ‘Stephen let’s help Jared clean up first then we can have some cookies.’ Stephen snorts ‘Jared.’ They do the dishes as I take care of the pans. We settle back down for cookies I with a coffee and they have eggnog. The house phone rings and I motion for Stephen to answer assuming it was either his family or my brother. It was Andrea checking in on her youngest. I hear him tell her everything that he has done for the past two days. Later she asked to talk to me and I asked her if she needed anything or wanted to go shopping with us tomorrow. I asked about my other grandsons ankara escort and to have DJ or Eric call Stephen later about the sledding. We hung up and Stephen says ‘Papa my mom laughed and says I guess you are not ready to come home and I told her no. I should have asked her if I have to go home Sunday if we get more snow.’ I answer ‘If we don’t get a lot of snow you will have to because we have to go to work.’ Stephen says ‘I hope we get a lot.’ I just laughed. While we were sitting there I started making my shopping lists and the phone rang again. I nodded to Stephen to get it and he was happy it was DJ. He repeated everything to him like he did his mother with the addition he might not be home till next week if we get a lot of snow. I can hear DJ laugh on the other end. DJ must have said he missed him and Stephen answered ‘I miss you but I see you every day I don’t see Papa every day. Hey is anyone sledding yet at the school? Papa wants to know so we can go.’ Stephen says ‘Okay’ and handed me the phone. I ask ‘How are you enjoying your first snow storm?’ DJ says ‘Papa it is wild. I don’t remember having seen this much snow before. I know Eric and Stuart haven’t.’ I ask ‘Have oyu heard anything about sledding yet?’ DJ answers ‘None of my friends have said anything yet. Let me ask Eric he goes to that school.’ I hang on as he yells to his brother and waits for an answer. DJ comes back and says ‘Papa, Eric says they haven’t plowed the school yet. He will call you when he hears anything.’ I say ‘We are having ham, mashed sweet potatoes, peas and baked beans for supper. I know they are your favorites do you want to come for supper?’ DJ says ‘Oh boy do I. Let me know what time.’ I say ‘I will and ask the other two if they want to come.’ I get up and scrub and clean 5 lbs of sweet potatoes and throw them in the oven to bake off. I tell the boys that I’m going to take a nap on the recliner, wake me in an hour. I knew instinctively Stephen would be coming with me and he asked ‘Papa is it alright if I watch TV while you sleep?’ I say ‘Yes if oyu keep the sound low and what are you going to watch?’ Stephen says ‘I don’t know I will let Zachary choose.’ I say ‘If Uncle Anthony calls tell him I will call him back.’ Zachary comes in and he and Stephen get on the couch and go through the channels and I nod off. The next thing I remember is Stephen nudging me ‘Papa it is time to get up.’ I sit up and look around I never woke up once during that nap. Zachary was in the kitchen taking the potatoes out of the oven. Stephen giggled ‘You didn’t even snore.’ I say ‘See I told you I don’t snore.’ Stephen laughed. I asked ‘What are you watching?’ Stephen answered ‘We watched the weather then we watched The Hillbillies. Zachary says from the kitchen ‘The potatoes are done and cooling.’ I look at the clock it is 2:30pm. I asked ‘Did anyone call?’ Both boys answer ‘No.’ I look outside and it is still gray out. I ask ‘What is the forecast?’ Zachary says ‘Right now they are calling for another 10-12″ starting after 3pm tomorrow but this one is fast moving and should be done by Monday morning. But if the warm front gets here first it will be a mix of rain, sleet and snow with more ice accumulation than snow.’ I get off the chair to start working on the potatoes. It doesn’t take long and Zachary and Stephen are eating most of the skins they become caramelized. I mash them and set them aside to heat up later. I start on the baked beans and let them simmer. I ask ‘What other vegetable do you want peas or broccoli?’ Both answer peas! They take no time to prepare. I have made enough in case all three grandsons show up. I figure if they are all here we will eat in the dining room. I finish up straightening up and my brother calls. Anthony asks ‘Are you ready for tomorrow?’ I answer ‘I just added a few things to my list but basically it is essentials. I just hope they have fresh milk, eggs, and produce. I’m assuming the state highways are clear.’ Anthony says ‘Our street wasn’t cleared till near 10 this morning but they did a hell of a job.’ I told him what Mario relayed to me from one of the city guys and Anthony says ‘That makes good sense. I guess no sledding yet.’ I say ‘They haven’t cleared the school parking lot yet and Eric says he would call when they heard anything. I would bet we will go probably after breakfast tomorrow.’ I told him what we had for lunch and what supper would be. He laughed and says ‘I’m coming to live with you.’ I answer ‘Anytime you are always welcome.’ We hang up and I go sit with the other two who have gotten quiet. I enter the living room and they are watching an old black and white movie. I sit and I recognize the movie right away and I’m surprised it isn’t a Christmas movie. The name of the movie is ‘I married a Witch’ and one of the main characters is eating waffles. I remember the scene well even as a kid it made me hungry for them and even today it is having the same effect. I break the silence and say ‘Are you getting hungry?’ Stephen says ‘Papa can we waffles tomorrow for breakfast or lunch?’ I say ‘Sure why not. I watched this movie with my grandfather when I was a little older than you.’ They both say ‘You did.’ I say ‘Yes my grandfather really liked Elizabeth Scott that is the blonde woman so anytime any of her movies were on he watched them. You will like this it is a good movie. Did you watch it from the beginning?’ Stephen says ‘Yeah she was naked but you couldn’t see her it was smoky.’ I texted DJ and told him we would be eating for 5pm and he texted back only he was coming his brothers were tired from shoveling. We finished the movie and I started on supper. I told Zachary and Stephen to set the island that it would only be the four of us. The wind was starting to blow outside and it was the cool down after a storm once the sun went down it was already 22 degrees out. About 4:45 DJ arrived and Stephen orders ‘Take off your boots and put them by the heat with your hat and gloves.’ DJ laughs ‘Yes sir.’ DJ hugs me and says ‘Hi Papa.’ He then hugs Zachary and his brother. We sit and eat and DJ says ‘Geez it is getting cold out and the wind is gusty at times.’ Stephen asks ‘Did you see our snowmen that I made with Papa and Zachary?’ DJ answers ‘Yeah and the one by Maria’s is huuge!! When you come home we will build one in the front of our house.’ Then he laughs ‘When are you coming home?’ Stephen answers ‘I may have to tomorrow if Papa has to go to work.’ DJ looks at me. I say ‘You guys may have another day off Monday with the weather but if it isn’t that bad we have to go to work.’ DJ nods ‘I get it. Well you know I do miss you Stephen and so does Eric.’ Stephen says ‘I miss you too but Papa is home and he isn’t all the time he has to work.’ DJ says ‘I know I don’t want you to feel bad just so you know you are missed.’ Stephen nods then asks ‘What have you done all these days?’ DJ says ‘I slept then I did homework then I slept then I had to shovel twice, then I slept and then I talked to some friends and now I am here.’ Stephen giggles ‘You slept a lot.’ DJ says ‘I caught up on a lot of sleep.’ Stephen whispers ‘Naked?’ DJ answers ‘Of course that is the only way.’ Stephen snorts ‘So does Zachary it must be because you play football.’ DJ laughs ‘I guess that is a good a reason as any.’ Zachary and I keep our heads down and smiles hidden. But DJ realizes it and winks. I ask ‘What has Eric and Stuart been doing?’ DJ answers ‘Homework and recording the snow and plows and grumbling about shoveling especially Stewie.’ Stephen snorts ‘He hates that name.’ DJ says ‘I know. That’s why I do it.’ I say ‘You guys haven’t been tormenting him. I told you not to.’ Stephen says ‘Eric and I don’t. He doesn’t bother us.’ DJ says ‘He gets an attitude with me once in a while and I use it to shut him down.’ Stephen snorts ‘It is better than being called Stevie. I don’t like that.’ Zachary asks ‘Who calls you Stevie?’ Stephen says ‘At my first preschool one of the teachers called me Stevie.’ DJ says ‘Yeah and he told the teacher that wasn’t his name how would she like it if he called her Agnes. Well Andrea got a call and she had to go get him and find another preschool.’ Stephen didn’t say a word. I say ‘I never heard that story.’ Stephen says ‘Andrea was mad because that preschool was cheaper than the one I went to.’ I say ‘Well you should have said something at home before you disrespected the teacher.’ Stephen says ‘Papa I told her my name was Stephen and she says I think Stevie is cute and I got mad. She says to Mom I had what was it DJ?’ DJ says ‘The woman says ‘Stephen hasn’t any respect or manners for adults’ and Mom told her my sons do and he will not be back.’ I say ‘Stephen I apologize you did do the right thing.’ Stephen says ‘That is what my Dad says.’ We talk about the first week of school and sledding as we finish our meal. The boys help clean up and I put together a container for DJ to take home. For dessert it was cookies and milk. DJ stayed and we played a board game. At 7:30 DJ says ‘I’m going there is a hockey game on TV I want to watch.’ Stephen says ‘Ok but we are going sledding tomorrow right?’ DJ answers ‘Yes of course.’ He then hugs us all and leaves. I say ‘Stephen let’s get you in the shower it is getting late.’ I don’t get an argument and he takes off upstairs. He showers and gets ready for bed and surprisingly says ‘Papa I want to go to bed. I’m tired.’ It was then I realized he never napped. He was asleep by the time I turned off the light. Zachary had gone in to take his shower and I decided to join him. Zachary jumped and I motioned to be quiet. I whispered ‘He is dead to the world come closer and let me scrub you. Zachary quietly says ‘I hope you do more than that.’ We washed each other and stroked each other and kissed. Zachary lubed his butt and my boner with soap and I slowly entered him. I almost dropped my load right then and there. He was so warm and tight. It was only two days since we had had sex. I wasn’t the only one who was horny as soon as I entered him Zachary shot a load. I swear I tried to hold off but I don’t we fucked more than seven or eight minutes till I came and while I was still inside of him I jerked another load out of him. We washed again and rinsed and got out of the shower. We dried each other off and with towels wrapped around us I went downstairs and Zachary announced he also was going to bed. I turned the TV and everything else off. I locked up and grabbed some bacon out of the freezer for breakfast. I went back up and checked in on Stephen he never moved and I left the candles on in his windows. I slid into bed and spooned Zachary. Zachary asked ‘Is there anything you want me to do for breakfast?’ I answered ‘I will see I should be able to get the bacon done before I leave and we don’t have to rush breakfast more than likely he will be off Monday so he doesn’t have to rush home. Worst case scenario I will make the waffles when I come in from BJ’s. I want him to sleep I forgot he never napped today. I don’t know how crowded these stores are going to be. Luckily we don’t need gas in any of the vehicles and I still have plenty for the blower. Zachary says ‘I can make the waffles while you are at BJ’s and if Stephen is up he can help.’ I say ‘Okay I will call you we are stuck there and I will make the batter before I leave.’ We kiss and he says ‘It would be nice to be home one more day.’ I laugh ‘You are getting as bad as Stephen.’ I’m awake at 5:30am and I get right up get dressed and washed and go down and broil of two packages of turkey bacon. I have enough time put together the batter for the waffles before Anthony arrives. The grandparent’s text they are up and going shopping also but just to Shoprite and would I get milk for them at BJ’s. Anthony arrived and we headed to the store. I was surprised the side roads were somewhat still snow covered but the main roads were clear and wet. Another surprise was that the store was far from crowded it was all the regulars that were usually there on Sundays. We met up with Mario and Maria and she asked me to also get eggs she didn’t like what they had. Anthony dropped me off and I put away my groceries. I started making waffles and put them in the oven to keep warm. I also put on coffee. I made twenty waffles with the batter I had made. I just finished and was washing a few things when Anthony texted he was on his way. When we got to BJ’s there were a few more than normal people waiting for them to open. I got the milk and the eggs and produce they had just came in so everything was super fresh. It took us a little longer than normal to check out but by the time we left the store was getting crowded and the gas station had a line already onto the road. We went by the school on the way home and the lot was plowed but no one was sledding yet. I say ‘Anthony the boys watched ‘I Married a Witch’ yesterday so guess what Stephen wants for breakfast.’ Anthony laughs ‘Waffles. I watched it too yesterday it was on TCM.’ I say ‘Have breakfast with us there is plenty.’ Anthony says ‘Thanks I will. I know they are all sleeping at home.’ We drop off his groceries and had back to my house. I run over the milk and eggs to Maria and Anthony starts bringing in my groceries. I got there in enough time to bring up the last of my things. We go inside and everything is as I left it. Anthony helps me put my groceries away downstairs and we go up to have coffee. I say ‘Stephen had a long day yesterday I’m glad he is sleeping in.’ Anthony set the island for four as I reheated some of the bacon. Then I heard footsteps upstairs going to the bathroom. After the toilet flushed Stephen came downstairs and says ‘Morning’ to both of us. I give him his juice and a waffle and some bacon. He says ‘Papa these look as good as they did in the movie.’ Anthony laughs ‘They sure do and taste even better.’ Stephen asks ‘Uncle Anthony you know the same movie about the witch.’ Anthony answers ‘I watched it yesterday. I watch it whenever it is on. I use to watch it with Jared and my Mom.’ Stephen snorts ‘Jared.’ I laugh ‘That is my name.’ Stephen says ‘I know but it just funny when anyone calls you that. Papa says he watched it with his grandfather didn’t you?’ Anthony answers ‘Jared was always with our grandfather he was the first grandson and I only could go when Jared was going.’ Stephen says ‘Why didn’t you like him?’ Anthony says ‘Oh I did he had a lot of neat stuff but I got bored easily but if Jared was there we would do stuff together with our grandfather.’ I ask ‘Did you check on Zachary?’ Stephen says ‘Uh-ugh. He was buried up to his head but I could still hear his whistle a little. I bet he is still naked under everything.’ Anthony says ‘Naked?’ Stephen like an expert answers ‘Yeah him and DJ sleep naked because they are football players. Anthony says ‘Oh okay.’ I look at Stephen and say ‘While I get you another waffle and some bacon go up and tell him breakfast is ready.’ Stephen takes off up the stairs and Anthony says ‘He doesn’t question that you are in bed with someone naked or if you are naked.’ I shake my head ‘He is oblivious to the whole thing. He only knows they are nude because he caught a glimpse as he puts it their hairy butts.’ Anthony laughs hard and says ‘The innocence of youth.’ We can hear them upstairs. We hear escort ankara Zachary growl and Stephen scream then there is laughter and Stephen comes back down. Anthony asks ‘Is Zachary getting up?’ Stephen says ‘He is he’s getting dressed.’ I ask ‘What was all the noise?’ Stephen says innocently ‘What noise?’ Anthony says ‘What noise there was growling and screaming.’ Stephen says ‘Oh as I went in to wake him he was all covered up like he always is and I got on the bed to jump on him he sat up and growled and grabbed me and hugged me tight and threw down like DJ does.’ Anthony says ‘Oh you are lucky to have them to joke around with.’ Stephen says ‘Yep I am’ and goes back to eating. Then he says ‘Papa can we going sledding today?’ I answer ‘After we eat and do our chores. The school is plowed out.’ Stephen answers ‘Yeah.’ Anthony says ‘I will be home tomorrow too it looks like.’ Zachary comes down and says ‘Morning’ to everyone and starts laundry before he sits to eat. Stephen asks ‘Uncle Anthony are you going to bring lil Anthony sledding?’ Anthony asks ‘Jared what time are you going to go?’ I reply ‘Probably try for 11:30-12:00. Whoever is there already will leave for lunch. The older kids are going to go to the park like we did. Here it will be tweens and families.’ Stephen asks ‘Will DJ go to the park?’ I say ‘Maybe if his friends go but you will have us and probably Eric and who knows even Stuart.’ Anthony says ‘Let me get going. Thanks for breakfast. I will call oyu before we leave.’ I say ‘Yes come here and we will walk to the school.’ Stephen snorts ‘DJ will go especially if there are girls there.’ Then he makes kissing noises. Zachary goes upstairs to straighten up and Stephen helps me with the cleanup from breakfast. I turn on the TV so we can hear the weather forecast. They are calling for another 12-14″ starting this afternoon and continuing till dawn. This is supposed to be fast moving storm with sleet mixed in. I say ‘Well if that is true we will be home tomorrow too.’ Stephen says ‘Yea!! I can stay here tonight too.’ I say ‘Unless your parents want you home.’ He says ‘Awww we will see.’ I say ‘Call your house and see who wants to come sledding with us.’ I hand him the phone as I punch in the number. I hear him say ‘Hi Mom. Yes we had waffles and bacon. Ma can I stay here tonight if Papa doesn’t have to go to work? He doesn’t care. Yes he went shopping with Uncle Anthony did you go? With Dad? We are going sledding is Eric and DJ up? Okay I love you. Okay.’ I ask ‘Who are you waiting for?’ He answers ‘Eric, DJ is still sleeping.’ He then says ‘Eric we are going sledding do you want to come with us. Uncle Anthony is coming too. Yeah I guess so.’ I say ‘Tell him to ask Stuart and DJ.’ Stephen says ‘Papa says ask Stuart and DJ? Okay I will tell him. Papa what time?’ I answer ‘Have whoever is coming to be here at 11:30.’ Stephen says ‘Papa says be over here at 11:30. Okay. Bye.’ He comes and sits with me at the island and I ask ‘Well fill me in.’ Stephen says ‘Mom says I can stay if you want me too. She went shopping with Dad this morning and got everything she needed. Eric is coming sledding with us. Stuart is going to the park with friends and DJ is still asleep. Eric says ‘We should call him, he heard him on his phone earlier.’ I grab my IPhone and hand it to Stephen. DJ must have answered and Stephen whispers ‘DJ it is me using Papa’s phone. Do you want to go sledding with us at the school we are going at 11:30? Okay. Bye.’ He hands me the phone and I ask ‘Why were you whispering? Stephen shrugs and says ‘Because DJ was.’ I say ‘Oh is he coming?’ Stephen says ‘Yeah but only for a little while then he is going to the park with his friends.’ I say ‘Well a little while is better than not at all.’ Stephen just nods. I say ‘Come on brush your teeth, go to the bathroom and change into thermals for under your snow pants.’ Zachary is finished with all of his chores and we all get dressed to go sledding. At 11:30 we are in the garage getting our sleds and DJ and Eric yell from across the street as they exit Mario’s backyard. Just then Anthony pulls up with two out of three of his sons. He has Ian and Anthony with him. I ask ‘Where is my namesake?’ Ian answers ‘Jared is going to the park with friends.’ Eric pipes up ‘So is Stuart.’ I say ‘Anthony let’s leave our sleds here. There is no way Stephen and lil Ant are going to pull theirs and they are the same size as ours.’ I put mine back in the garage along with Anthony’s. We start out for the school and the sky is getting grayer. The boys enjoy the walk to the school and I’m surprised there aren’t more people there. They are basically all young families and no one really older than Eric and Ian. I can understand why DJ wants to go to park with his friends. Let the sledding begin!! I give the rules to the older boys. Basically watch out for the younger kids, no roughhousing and showing off. There are only a few with the sleds like we have and from what I can see they have been passed down but there are a few new ones. A lot of the kids have the saucers and inner tubes. After about six or seven times of going down and climbing back up the hill I can tell the young ones are getting tired. Anthony Jr. says ‘Dad I’m tired of walking back up the hill can’t you pull me on the sled?’ My brother laughs ‘No you are too heavy to pull up.’ I say ‘Anthony you and Stephen wait at the top and have some water while everyone sleds.’ Stephen says ‘Hey I will show you where my classroom is and maybe we can go on the swings for a while.’ Lil Ant says ‘Ok.’ Eric, Ian, and DJ are enjoying themselves big time. They haven’t stopped once. It is 1:30 and the place is starting to clear out besides us there are maybe eight to ten people and it is getting darker. Anthony and I are keeping an eye out on the little ones. I call them to come back so they can go down the hill a few more times. I’m thinking it is going to start snowing anytime. I had just taken Stephen down with me when it started to snow. The snow picked up fast and everyone was leaving. On the way home the streets were already snow covered as was Anthony’s truck. As his truck was warming up I got his sled out of the garage. We said our goodbyes and Anthony says ‘I will call you tonight.’ I asked DJ and Eric if they wanted to stay for lunch and was happy they said they would so was Stephen. Of course Stephen gave them their orders as far as boots, hats, gloves and jackets. DJ helped him off with his snow pants and he stayed in his thermals. Eric helped Zachary bring everyone’s things down to the furnace room. I heated up the barley soup and gave them all the choice of either chicken or grilled cheese sandwiches. They all wanted grilled cheese and DJ helped with them. DJ got an alert on his phone that school was cancelled for tomorrow and to check the portal for assignments. They were all happy. I say ‘You won’t be if you end up going to school till the end of June.’ DJ says ‘No as long as we are doing assignments it counts as a school day even for Eric he has work he has to do.’ I say ‘One of you call your Mom and let her know you guys are here and having lunch.’ Eric smiles and nods and I look at him and think he is going to be a handsome boy he is tall and thin and fair like my Mom but with my dark eyes and hair. He picks up the house phone and makes the call and Andrea tells him she got a text there is no school tomorrow and he tells her DJ got an assignment notice. I ask ‘Where is Stuart?’ Eric answers ‘Mom says he just got in from sledding.’ We just sit to eat and my phone rings and it is my boss Jim. Jim tells me that the shop will be closed tomorrow because of the snow they are predicting. He has already gotten close to fifty inches and they are basically snowbound he may not be in even Tuesday his driveway is clear but his road hasn’t been plowed since yesterday. I tell him I will call him tomorrow afternoon and hang up. I say ‘Zachary we are home tomorrow too. That was Jim the shop is staying closed till Tuesday.’ Stephen says ‘Yea that means I can stay here again tonight. Do you guys want to stay too there is plenty of room and Papa went shopping today so there is plenty of food.’ I sit there amused as I listen to him. Eric says ‘I would but I have to get up early to go online to get our assignments and there might be a zoom class. They like to do it early so we are done by 10 or so we have the rest of the day for homework and play.’ DJ says ‘Sorry same for me but we will build that snowman around lunchtime like I promised.’ Eric says ‘The one you and Zachary built in front of Maria’s is real big.’ Stephen says ‘Yeah it is.’ The rest of the meal is spent talking about the sledding and TV. They help me clean up and I bring out cookies for dessert. As I was getting their milk we heard a plow and Stephen took off for upstairs. He yells ‘Eric come up and see the great view I have.’ Eric follows. They come down a few minutes. Eric says ‘He does have a great view of the whole street. It is coming down hard.’ They have their cookies and get ready to leave. I say ‘Stephen you know you know you can go home with your brothers if you want.’ Stephen says ‘I would but they have their schoolwork to do in the morning. I will go home when we are going to build the snowman.’ DJ says ‘I will call you when we are finished with school.’ I say ‘Do you guys want to come for lunch tomorrow too? After all Stephen should be home for supper.’ Geez if looks could kill. Eric says ‘It depends what time we get through with school and the snowman.’ I say ‘Okay.’ We hug and kiss and they leave and we watch them cross the street in the snow. Stephen says ‘Papa do I have to go home for supper tomorrow?’ I say ‘It’s up to your parents after all you are in bed for 7:30 right?’ He moans ‘Yeah.’ I add ‘Tomorrow will be like a Sunday the first day of the school week and work week.’ The rest of the afternoon is spent watching TV. I ask ‘Does anyone want anything for supper?’ Stephen answers ‘Papa Can I have waffles and bacon again?’ I say ‘Sure there are some left over from breakfast.’ Zachary says ‘I’m going to make a salad I’m really not that hungry.’ I say ‘I think I will have the same.’ Dinner is finished and everything is cleaned up by 6:30. I then get Stephen in the shower and then as a change I go so that I can spend some time with him before bed. Zachary showers last and I run up with a warm towel and have a little make out session. I tell Stephen to pick out what he wants to watch. He says ‘Papa I don’t care. I just want look at the tree and fireplace and watch the snow come down. Look how hard it is snowing.’ I say ‘Stephen remember if you get up tomorrow and I’m not here I’m outside shoveling but you know Zachary will be still sleeping.’ Stephen rolls his eyes and says ‘Yes Papa I know.’ Zachary comes down and says ‘How come you aren’t watching TV?’ I answer ‘Stephen just wants to look at the tree and snow.’ Stephen says ‘Don’t forget the fireplace. What do you want to watch?’ Zachary answers ‘I’m kind of tired of TV and I think I may go to bed.’ Stephen says ‘Don’t stay with us for a while.’ Zachary says ‘Jared do you realize we only have to work three days next week.’ I laugh ‘I know I thought of that while I was in the shower. Next week at this time we will be coming home.’ Stephen perked right up ‘Where are you going?’ I answer ‘Next Friday Zachary and I are going to Vermont for a few days. We will be back home next Sunday and you can stay that night because everyone is off for MLK day.’ Stephen says ‘Oh then I’m glad I got a lot of sleepovers this week.’ I laugh ‘Yes it seems to work out that way.’ I say ‘The only bad thing is that I have to go shopping when I get in on Sunday.’ Zachary says ‘No have Noni get milk and eggs for breakfast and we can do take out for supper and you can go Monday morning. I know you hate the stores on a weekend if oyu are not there first thing. Maybe Stephen and I will get up early and go with you.’ I laugh ‘That would be a shock if oyu were both ready to go to the store for 7am. No you two can sleep in I will go myself.’ Zachary says ‘It is still a week away there is plenty of time to plan it out.’ Stephen looks out the window and says ‘You know I think this has been the best Christmas ever.’ Zachary says ‘I think you are right, but too bad we all took the lights down outside.’ Stephen says ‘Yeah, Papa.’ I answer ‘We all still have our trees up and candles in the windows if the lights were still up they would be out there till Easter if we keep getting snow like this.’ Stephen laughed at that. I say ‘Let’s watch something it is getting late. Stephen says ‘Okay let’s watch those old cartoons the ones older than Papa.’ By the time they are over Stephen is ready for bed in fact we all are. There is only about four inches out there and the plows haven’t been by since the first time. I get Stephen in bed and lay out socks in case he gets up to watch the plows. Stephen says ‘Papa leave my candles on.’ I answer ‘I will. Goodnight I love you.’ He mumbles ‘Thank you. I love you.’ He is asleep as I go back down. Zachary is turning everything off and I lock up and we head up to bed. Zachary looks in on Stephen and comes into bed and says ‘He is sleeping already.’ We spoon and Zachary says ‘This feels good the snow outside and you holding me. Don’t let me sleep late tomorrow or else I won’t sleep tomorrow night.’ I stifle a laugh and get nudged with his elbow. I say ‘Sorry Pup but I have never known you to have trouble sleeping you and Stephen. But I will make sure you are up by 9am.’ We kiss and fall asleep. During the night I heard the plow go by but never heard Stephen get out of bed. I went in to check and he in a deep sleep yesterday was the second day he went without a nap. I looked out the snow was coming down good but I couldn’t tell how much was out there and it was only 1:30am. I went downstairs and looked out the back door there was a good six inches so it isn’t accumulating the way they thought which truth be told made me happy. I went up and slipped into bed and Zachary jumped and then moaned and leaned into me. I got up at 5:30 got dressed and went down downstairs. It was still snowing lightly but steady. I turned on the TV and listened as I made oatmeal. They had lowered the amounts to 8-10″ which was fine with me and it should be out of the state by late morning. I decided I was going to shovel what I could we already had gotten the majority of the snow fall and it would end here first. It was peaceful out and it didn’t take me long to clear the deck, steps and driveway. The plow came by while I was out and cleared the front of my driveways and Mario’s. I nodded a thank you and he stopped and waved up to Stephen. I yelled to the driver ‘He wants to do this when he gets older.’ The guy laughed gave a little toot of his horn and continued on his way. I looked up and Stephen was all smiles. I finished up and went in and he was downstairs waiting for me. He took care of my hat, gloves and booths while I went down to hang my jacket. I changed my clothes and the two of us sat and had breakfast. The oatmeal hit the spot. We both had two bowls each and then shared an orange all the while talking about the snow. I say ‘You slept through the first two times the plow went by.’ Stephen says ‘I did. I must ankara escort bayan have been tired. I didn’t even get up to go to the bathroom.’ I say ‘I told the driver you want to do the same thing when you get older.’ Stephen says ‘Papa he waved to me and blew the horn. Are we going sledding?’ I answer ‘Yes maybe you and I depending on when the snow stops. But hey don’t forget you are going to build a snowman with your brothers too.’ Stephen says ‘I want to do that first.’ It is almost 7:30 and we are finished with breakfast. I say ‘Let’s go watch TV. We can clean up later after all Zachary has to eat yet.’ We settle on the couch of course after the tree and fireplace is turned on. The snow is still coming down steady but lightly. After we catch up with the news and weather the channel with all the shows from the fifties is on. My grandson is in his glory. In between bathroom breaks and looking at the tree he says ‘Papa I’m kind of hungry can I have more oatmeal?’ I answer ‘Have a halo and you can eat with Zachary when he gets up. I have to get him up now.’ Stephen says ‘Okay. Can I wake him up?’ I nod and he takes off. I get their breakfast ready and I can hear them laughing and talking away. Stephen comes down and says ‘Papa he will be right down after he washes up and brushes his teeth.’ Then whispers ‘An put some clothes on.’ I get him a bowl of oatmeal as Zachary comes down and follow suit with him. Stephen asks ‘What are we doing today?’ I answer ‘We have to clean up outside and get our stuff ready for work.’ Zachary says ‘I have ot get our work stuff ready and should my Poppie clean up over there. You can help if you want. By that time your brothers should be through with school.’ Stephen agrees too. After breakfast Zachary goes up and does his chores and Stephen and I clean up the breakfast dishes. We are all dressed and ready to go outside by 10am. I didn’t need the snow blower we shoveled the remaining snow off my driveway. We cleaned off the vehicles the snow was starting to melt on the blacktop. Mario was out snow plowing his walk and path between his yard and Stephen’s. I put Stephen on their porch to sweep while Zachary and I pulled his vehicles out ot clean them. We were finished with both houses by 11am and with our shovels headed over to see what was up at Stephen’s. Sr. was outside clearing their driveway with DJ and Eric and Stuart were taking care of the front walk and steps. Zachary and I helped them finish up. Stephen was getting antsy he wanted to build his snowman. Zachary and I left them to it and went home. Zachary had laundry to finish up and I had to get our lunches set for the next three days. The two of us were getting ready for lunch when there was a knock at the back door it was Stephen and Eric. Stephen was coming for lunch and Eric walked him over on the way Maria gave him a tin of cookies to bring here. I wink at Eric and say ‘What are you doing here?’ Stephen giggles ‘Papa we finished and it is big wait till you see it and I came to eat lunch. I have to go home for supper and go to bed early.’ I ask ‘Eric do you want to stay for lunch too?’ Eric says ‘No Papa we all have homework to do for tomorrow. I will see you later. Okay.’ I say ‘Of course.’ Eric leaves and I get Stephen undressed and ready for lunch after he hits the bathroom. We have barley soup and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I ask ‘What clothes do you need to bring home for school.’ Stephen answers ‘Nothing just what I’m wearing everything else has to stay here I told you. I have plenty of play clothes and long johns and stuff.’ I say ‘No you have to take back what we couldn’t get in your bureau. Remember?’ Stephen says ‘You sure?’ I answer ‘You don’t need them. Did you wear them here keep them at home.’ Stephen says ‘Okay.’ After lunch Zachary brings down our gym bags for tomorrow and gets out our lunch totes. The phone rings and it is Anthony and I let Stephen talk to him as I clean up the lunch things. Stephen gives me the phone and takes off to watch ‘Green Acres’ and yells for someone to turn on the tree. Anthony tells me ‘Charley called and he doesn’t have to go to work even tomorrow the college is shut for another day and they have a solid 4 feet. Sebastian Jr. went home this afternoon and is pretty sure once he starts working at the shop it will be over.’ I ask ‘Is he upset.’ Anthony says ‘I asked him the same thing and he laughed and said relieved.’ I laughed ‘Good for him. He knows what he wants and isn’t going to settle for less.’ I say ‘Don’t forget Sunday you are on your own. I will go Monday morning first thing.’ Anthony says ‘Have a good safe trip if we don’t talk before and do you want to get you anything for when you come back.’ I answer ‘Thanks but it will be easier for the grandparents to do milk and what not.’ We talk a little more and hang up. I go in and Stephen is sleeping on the couch. I look at the clock it is almost 2pm. I will let him sleep no longer than an hour. I go upstairs and find Zachary packing Stephen’s backpacks. I say ‘He is sleeping.’ Zachary smiles and says ‘I can use a nap myself.’ I laugh and say ‘Take one we will be going to bed early anyway.’ Zachary says ‘No let me get ahead with some things. I want this house clean when we leave so when we come back there is nothing but laundry.’ I noticed he already has changed Stephen’s sheets. I say ‘Let me know what help you need.’ I plan the next three day lunches and suppers. Stephen comes on Wednesday so that will be takeout probably pizza. He has been sleeping about 45 minutes and I hear stirring on the couch. He wakes up and runs to the bathroom. When he comes out I set him up with milk and cookies. Zachary comes down with his backpacks. Stephen moans. I say ‘Come on you like school and before you know it will be the weekend again and you will have another long one.’ Stephen shrugs ‘I know.’ Zachary says ‘You can tell your friend Jacob about the snowmen you made and sledding.’ I ask ‘What do you want for supper Wednesday night?’ Stephen answers fast ‘Turkey burgers with baked beans.’ I say ‘That’s a good pick we haven’t had burgers in a while.’ Thinking maybe I will get some coleslaw from KFC. Andrea texts me that she wants Stephen home before 5pm they are sitting to supper at that time and do Zachary and I want to come there is plenty she made baked ziti. I decline and tell her he will be home it is going to be an early night for all of us. At 4:30 I start getting him ready to go and surprisingly he doesn’t give me a hard time. We walk home through the short cut and I see their snowman it has to be almost eight feet high. I say ‘You guys did a great job how did you get it so tall?’ Stephen says ‘DJ made Eric get on his shoulders. Then Dad got them a ladder.’ We go inside and Eric and Stuart are setting the table. I help Stephen with his backpacks and put his clothes away. We stop to see DJ in his room he is getting his clothes ready for tomorrow. DJ says ‘You are home.’ He hugs me and rubs Stephen’s head. Stephen answers ‘Yeah school tomorrow.’ We both laugh and Andrea yells up for Stephen to bring down the backpack he is taking to school. He goes to his room to get it and DJ whispers ‘Papa he is like me I never liked school at that age. I never liked leaving my house and my toys.’ I answer ‘I remember I was the same and so was Zachary but he will outgrow it like we did.’ Stephen comes back and the three of us head downstairs. I ask ‘Didn’t you guys video the snowman?’ Stuart answers ‘Yes and when I finish editing it I will send it to everyone.’ I say my goodnights and wish everyone a good day tomorrow and leave. I laugh to myself he is going to be fine he isn’t alone he has his family. I go inside and Zachary is putting the finishing touches on a salad topped with chicken salad. He asks ‘How is Stephen?’ I laugh ‘He will be fine after all he has his parents, DJ and Eric.’ We eat and decide to take the ham for lunch tomorrow and Thursday and finish the chicken salad on Wednesday. After dinner we clean up watch the news and go up and shower together. Of course we have sex before we shower and in the shower! I go down and lock up and slip into bed. It is already 8:30 and we are asleep in minutes. Don’t you know that the alarm went off as soon as I closed my eyes. I got up and got dressed and went down to pack our lunches. I ran back up to get Zachary up then back down and go out and warm up his Explorer. We get to the gym and we are the only ones there. As we were finishing up Sebastian walked in and seemed in a good mood. In the department there were only the four of us. I knew Hector wouldn’t make it in and neither would Jim. The four discussed the storm and our experiences. Sebastian told us his oldest was gone most of the weekend and is interview is being moved to next week because of the weather. During lunch Stuart sent the video of the making of the snowman. I showed Stanley and Sebastian. They both commented that they were all going to amount to something. This time Stanley says ‘You should bring all four of them to ‘bring your kid to work day’. He mentioned it to Sebastian too about ‘Meat’ and his daughter Rachel. Sebastian just ‘Humph will see.’ The day actually dragged there wasn’t too much work coming in even though 7/8 of the shop showed up. Traffic was heavy on the way home it seemed everyone was catching up on stables being trapped inside for four days. It seemed like we weren’t even home for the four days. It was business as usual. Zachary started laundry and I took care of the lunch totes and started the beans for tomorrow night. Once everything was started I took him by the hand and he snickered as we got naked except for our white socks dumped our work clothes in front of the washer and went downstairs. He pushed me down on the couch and sat on my lap. Zachary says ‘I need this.’ He bends down and kisses me. The both of us are hard as rocks. As I rubbed the inside of his thigh Zachary moaned. Our kissing became more intense and Zachary took a hold of my boner and was slowly jerking me off. I took his hand and stopped him saying ‘Careful or this will be over before it starts.’ He laughs and says ‘It’s not like your shot after one load, Stud.’ I smile and say ‘True but I don’t want to cum yet. What is the rush? Do you have to be somewhere?’ Zachary snorts ‘No just want to make you happy.’ I take his chin and kiss him and say ‘If you don’t know by now just having you in my life and bed makes me happy. I love you.’ Zachary gets glassy eyed and says ‘I love you Jared so much it hurts.’ Forty minutes later we were taking a long hot shower As Zachary is finishing up the laundry and straightening up the bedroom I get our lunches together. Zachary brings down our gym bags and tells me he is going to start packing for our weekend. I say ‘I’m going down to look for our ice skates.’ Zachary says ‘I thought I saw them hanging near the furnace.’ For supper we finish off the waffles and bacon from Sunday and I make some eggs to go with them. I help him finish off the laundry after the meal and put the beans for tomorrow outside to cool off. I am sitting at the island having my coffee and Zachary comes and sits on my lap. It seems like forever since he has been able to do that. I have him look up where we are staying to see exactly what there is to do in the area. Believe it or not they only got about 8″ of snow they were on the fringe of the last two storms. It is eight o’ clock and I look across the street. Stephen’s room is dark except for his tree and the candle in his window. Zachary says ‘I’m going up to bed it has been a long day.’ I answer ‘I will be right behind you.’ Wednesday Jim and Hector and the majority of the shop are back at work. I meet with Jim at 10am in the cafeteria. Samuel will be starting next Tuesday and Sebastian will be interviewed next Wednesday for three jobs in the shop. Jim says ‘I hope we don’t see any snow for the rest of the winter. I can’t take it.’ We both laughed. He asked ‘What have you told your crew about this coming weekend?’ I say ‘I hate not being honest but it isn’t any of their business.’ Jim says ‘You are right it has to be done this way. Anyway how often do the two of you take of together? Consider it self-preservation.’ I say ‘We are saying we are driving personal items up to Canada for his Dad in a rental truck and then we are flying back.’ Jim says ‘Excellent great story.’ I just roll my eyes. On the way home from work I tell Zachary to go to KFC. I want to get some coleslaw to go with supper. Most of the normal tasks are done when the phone rings that Stephen is ready to come over. Zachary goes to get him as I go light the grill. At supper Stephen tells us what has happened the past two days at school. He says ‘Papa my teacher took down all the Christmas decorations today. The only thing that is left is the tree and she says her Dad was coming after school to take it apart.’ Zachary says ‘At least you have the two trees here and the two trees in your house.’ Stephen says ‘Wrong my Mom took all the stuff off the big tree in the living room yesterday and DJ and Dad have to bring it downstairs today when they get home.’ I laugh ‘Stephen it will be fine you have the tree in your room.’ Stephen answers ‘Yeah I guess.’ I ask ‘Do you want to take some beans and coleslaw home with you for a snack or take to lunch?’ Stephen answers ‘Okay.’ The two boys have cookies for dessert and Stephen says ‘Papa now when will you be home?’ I answer ‘Sunday and you can stay over if you want.’ Stephen says ‘How many days?’ Zachary says ‘Let’s figure it out. What is today?’ Stephen says ‘Wednesday and tomorrow is Thursday and then Friday then.’ I say ‘The weekend Saturday then Sunday.’ Using his fingers he says ‘Four days.’ Zachary says ‘You got it, Bud.’ I look at the clock it is getting late and I get him ready to go home. Stephen hugs Zachary and says ‘I will see in four days.’ Zachary answers ‘You bet.’ We walk home and he says ‘Papa I wish I could go with you and Zachary.’ I answer ‘You have school but maybe during the summer we can take a little trip somewhere.’ That perks him right up. We go in and Andrea says ‘Go right up and take your shower it is late.’ I say ‘I will go with you. I want to say hell-o to your brothers.’ The other three are dressed already for bed and doing their thing. DJ is waiting for Stephen to get him in the shower. I tell them goodnight and I hear Stephen telling DJ that I’m taking him on a weekend trip this summer somewhere. I tell my daughter there is beans and coleslaw for him and I will see them Sunday. Andrea says ‘Dad you and Zachary have a good safe trip and enjoy yourselves.’ I kiss her goodnight and leave. I get home and find everything set for us in the morning by the door and Zachary finishing up our lunches. I ask ‘Ready for a shower?’ Zachary smiles ‘Yeah I am finished.’ We shower and of course get off. Zachary gets into bed and I go back down and turn everything off, lock up and head back upstairs. In bed Zachary says ‘I can’t believe tomorrow is here. Noni says let her know if you want them to get milk or something for Sunday.’ I answer ‘I know I can’t wait for us to get away for a few days. You can let her know tomorrow. I think probably just milk and some produce.’ It is eight-thirty and we are asleep. JJ I want to thank all of you that write faithfully that you are still enjoying this story. It makes it all worth it. The next few chapters are going to go back to being about Jared and Zachary’s love for one another. Feel free to comment, etc. to [ ail ]
