Take care and stay safe Sparky Boy From The Shed – Chapter 28 By Sparky Leo explained about Ben breaking down and asking Mike and Leo to be his dads, he told her how Ben was unconsolable and all the love he had been given, by the time he finished Trisha was teary eyed. “He needed to let all that out… he’s never talked about it to us but I have talked a lot over the years with his mum, we were friends before Ben’s dad was killed… she was never the same after” “We want to help Ben and be there for him, but we don’t really know what to do, we don’t know his mum and after Mike promised to be his dad in the heat of the moment when Ben was begging, we feel that we can’t let him down now” Leo explained worried, “Let me talk to his mum, she said she would never marry again but I don’t see why that should stop Ben from having dads in his life… let me talk to her” “We still have Ben at our house” Leo added, “Keep him… he was staying here tonight anyway… just the boys don’t know that yet” “Thank you Trisha… I really appreciate your help” Leo said earnestly, “No thank you Leo… look at how much happier John is… even his dad is improving… you want to take John back with you and keep him too and I’ll go talk to Ben’s mum before she goes to work” Trisha suggested, “Yeah… I’ll happily take John back with me… we love having him over… you should see him with Timmy…it’s like he has adopted a little brother” Leo chuckled, Trisha called John back down, as he arrived in the kitchen he came up to Leo and hugged him, “Go pack some clean clothes… you’re going back with Leo for another night” Trisha said smiling at her son, John looked up to Leo’s face and asked, “Really?” “Yes… so scoot and get some clothes” Leo grinned and pushed John toward the door, “YES!” John exclaimed as he ran out the room, Trisha watched the exchange between the two and smiled, she could see how much John loved Leo in that short exchange. She hoped that John and his dad could be happy with each other one day but for now John needed Leo and she was happy to let Leo be there for her son. “I’ll call you later after I talk to Ben’s mother” John came thundering back down the stairs with a bag over his shoulder and ready to go, he ran up to his mum and hugged her than took Leo’s hand and dragged him to the front door, Trisha laughed at her sons excitement and shouted goodbye to Leo as he was being dragged out the door. They got back into Leo’s car and drove back home. They found the boys watching TV, while Mike still had Ben in his lap, Leo wondered if Ben had been there for the last two hours that they had been gone. Mike and the boys looked towards the lounge door when they heard John’s voice, “John!… your back!…” Timmy squealed and ran over to hug John, “You couldn’t get rid of your stray either huh?” Mike joked, Ben poked Mike in the ribs causing Mike to laugh and wince at the same time, “Ok…ok… I’m only joking” Mike said kissing Ben’s head, “Well don’t… we’re not strays” a clearly still upset Ben responded, “Well I have some news to cheer you up Ben” Leo said smiling at the boy. “we’re staying again tonight!” John butted in, “Really?” Ben asked looking at Leo, “Yes… so try to relax now…ok?” Leo said kneeling in front of Ben and cupping the boys cheek, “Ok” Ben said quietly, “Good… now I need to talk to daddy about Christmas… so can I have him for a bit?” Leo asked softly, “Can I sleep with you again” Ben asked turning and looking Mike directly in the face, “Sure you can… now get up and snuggle with John and Timmy” Mike told the boy. Timmy on hearing his name jumped on Ben as Mike slid away from the boy. John now naked plonked himself down next to Ben and gave him a hug, Timmy sat in Ben’s lap for a change and John settled for having Timmy’s legs and feet in his. Tanner, Jacob and Jason were snuggled up on the other sofa with a warm furry blanket over them. Mike and Leo headed out to the kitchen and talked while preparing dinner. Leo explained about Trisha going to see Ben’s mum and calling later. Mike told Leo about talking with Ben, he assured Ben that going home to his mum didn’t mean he was losing his new dads, that they would always be there for him even if he didn’t live with them. They had spent the whole two hours sat together and the other boys came over every now and then and gave Ben a hug and asked if he was feeling better. With the dads having talked about all they could they left dinner cooking and rejoined the boys. Ben was trapped under Timmy so Mike sat beside them and put his arm around Ben’s back, Ben smiled up at Mike and Mike kissed his head. The boys sat at the table for dinner and the dads sat in the lounge, after dinner the Wii was turned on for a bit then they played Cluedo. Leo got a call from Trisha around 7pm, “Hi Leo… it’s Trisha… I’m on my way over to yours with Charlotte… Ben’s mum” “Oh ok… see you in a few minutes then” Leo said, “Yeah be there in five… see ya!” Trisha said and hung up, “BOYS! Get dressed now! John and Ben’s mums are on the way!” Leo shouted, The boys all scrambled and ran up stairs, John and Ben grabbed their clothes from the lounge floor first and followed the others to the bedroom. After a minute the boys came back down dressed and presentable, then the questions started. “Whys mum coming over?” asked Ben concerned, “Don’t erzincan escort know son… we’ll just have to wait and see” Leo said, “What if she wants to take me home?” Ben whined, Mike picked Ben up and hugged him, “Your mum has to work tonight… so your not going home… so calm down..ok?” Mike said reassuringly. When there was a knock at the door everyone held their breath, they were all nervous as hell as Leo got up to answer the door. Leo opened it and saw Trisha with another lady behind her. “Hi Leo… this is Charlotte, Ben’s mum… Charlotte this is Leo” John’s mum said, “Hi Charlotte nice to meet you in person” Leo said as warmly as he could, “Hi Leo… nice to finally meet you too” Charlotte said trying to smile. It was obvious to Leo that the ladies must have had a very emotional few hours as they both looked like they had been crying recently and Charlotte looked still quite upset. Leo beckoned them in and the walked to the lounge, when Ben saw his mum he didn’t know what to do and buried his head into Mike’s chest as he sat on his new dads lap. Charlotte seemed to study Mike and Ben as she watched her son till Trisha put her hand on Charlotte’s shoulder and pushed her further into the room. “Leo… do you think the boys could go upstairs while we talk?” Trisha asked softly, “Er yeah… boys can you give us some time alone, John can you take Ben with you?” Leo asked, “Yeah.. ok” John said and took Ben’s hand, Ben was hesitant until Timmy took his other hand and he was pulled out of Mike’s lap, “Go on Ben… let us talk… it’ll be fine..ok?” Mike said assuringly, “Why don’t you boys have your baths while your up there and get Timmy creamed up” Leo suggested, “Ok dad” Jacob said and led the boys out the room and upstairs. They all saw Ben look back from the door as he left with worried eyes, Mike smiled at him and John dragged him away. Leo closed the lounge door to give them some privacy while Mike got the mums to sit down on the other sofa. Once Leo sat down next to Mike Trisha spoke, “I’ve had a long talk with Charlotte about Ben and his breakdown. Charlotte didn’t realise that Ben was so upset about his dads death. Mike can you tell us what happened?” Trisha asked, “Well we were all sitting down here on the sofas and Ben was being really good and I wanted to praise him like we do all the boys… so I pulled him into my lap and hugged him telling him he was a wonderful boy… then the tears started and I took him away from the others to find out what was wrong. Charlotte saw Mike getting upset and spoke next, “Do you want to be his dad? Will you care for him and protect him? Trisha hugged her friend and Mike and Leo came over to join the hug. He has tried to hide this but my son tends to be transparent with his feelings. I think part of his happiness is due to finally finding an environment that he doesn’t feel the need to hide who he is. He got a scared look on his face after he admitted this and ran to his room and didn’t come out for some time.” Leo noticed Mike look shocked at what Trisha had just said. He squeezed Mike’s knee and said quietly, “We will talk about it later” “Both of us are thankful for what you have done for the boys, we were thinking instead of Ben staying at my house every time Charlotte has an night shift he could spend some of them here with his dads” Trisha said, It was clear that the mums had already worked this all out earlier, they explained what they had discussed and Mike and Leo agreed with them. Ben would still live with his mum and she would have sole responsibility for him, Mike and Leo would be dads to Ben without needing to make it legal. After more discussions they were done and Mike and Leo promised to look after Ben and not let him down. It was hard for Charlotte to let this all happen, but after talking with Trisha earlier she knew it was unfair on Ben to expect him to remain fatherless when he really wanted a dad. “We should get Ben down and tell him… he’s erzurum escort going to be stressing like crazy upstairs” Mike suggested, The mom’s agreed and Mike got up and opened the lounge door and called Ben. She hugged Ben and kissed him, Mike and Leo reaffirmed their promises to help look after Ben and give him all the love he needs. Charlotte left a lot happier than she had been when she arrived. Trisha left too after she had hugged and kissed John who had come downstairs still damp and dressed only in boxer shorts after being in the bath. She was happy to see her son so comfortable with his body and was pleased to see him looking happy. After the mom’s had left the boys all came downstairs and the dads told them that Ben was now part of the family with his mums approval. They were overjoyed and Ben got hugged till he could hardly breath. Mike put a movie on for the boys and got them settled down, Leo went and made them all hot chocolate because the boys loved it and it helped to calm them. Once the boys were settled Mike told Ben he would be back to sit with him after he and Leo had finished sorting out a few things. Mike joined Leo in the kitchen and they both silently hugged each other. They were both emotionally exhausted and just needed a few minutes to recharge and connect with each other. “So tell me what I have missed about John and Timmy” Mike asked eventually. “Well the clues have been there, he is not very subtle about hiding his feelings towards Timmy, I thought it was just brotherly at first then I started to realise that the only one he tends to do anything sexual with is Timmy. They are always together…and today he was asking how old I was when I knew I was in love with you. Then there is Jimmy… John’s present for Timmy… the only present John has got for any of the boys. Then we have what Trisha said about John slipping up and telling her he loved Timmy, if he meant like a brother he wouldn’t have run off. He meant he is in love with Timmy” Mike looked at Leo and thought for a moment, he was trying to work out how he felt about John being in love with his youngest son. He found himself hung up on Timmy’s age, he knew that was stupid as they were much older than the boys and had sex with them, but they weren’t dating the boys, they were not boyfriends with them. In the end he decided that what ever Timmy wanted was the most important thing. If Timmy wanted to be boyfriends with John and his little boy was also in love with John then he could accept their relationship. “Ok so we should probably talk to both of them, we should see how Timmy feels first though” Mike said. “I agree so lets grab Timmy and see how he feels and take it from there” Leo told Mike, Mike went to the lounge to get Timmy, he found his little boy in his usual place on John’s lap, “Timmy we need to talk about some Christmas stuff with you” Mike said as he picked the little boy up. John looked disappointed as Mike took Timmy away from him, “You can have him back soon..ok?” Mike said gently, John nodded yes as Mike carried Timmy into the kitchen and shut the door. He sat Timmy down on the kitchen counter and Timmy squirmed because it was cold on his naked butt. Mike chuckled and picked him back up and Leo set a towel down on the counter for Timmy to sit on. With Timmy sat back down Leo asked him, “Timmy… we know you love John… can you tell us how much you love him?” “I love him lots and lots” Timmy said smiling, “Do you think you might love him like Tanner loves Max?” Mike asked, “Maybe… why?” Timmy asked confused, “How would you feel if John loved you like Max loves Tanner?” Leo asked, “I… I think that would be ok… wait… does John love me like that?” Timmy asked with a serious look on his face, “We think he might love y……” Mike started to say. He was interrupted as Timmy jumped down from the counter and ran for the door, surprised Mike and Leo couldn’t stop him and Timmy was out the door with the dads chasing after him. Timmy jumped face first into a surprised John’s lap and stared at the older boy face to face. “Do you love me!?” Timmy demanded loudly as the room stopped and stared, “Errr… yes I love you” a confused John replied, “No like really love me!?” Timmy demanded again, “I…er…i…” John stuttered panicking, “Do you love me like Max loves Tanner?” Timmy asked quieter, John looked into Timmy’s eyes, he felt so scarred that Timmy was going to reject him like Ben had done, he was afraid of losing Timmy, the boy he truly loved. As Timmy stared at him waiting for a answer he knew it was now or never, “Yes… I love you like that…I’m sorry I just do” John said and started to cry, Timmy hadn’t meant to make John cry he was just so excited he had to know how John felt about him. As a seven year old his ability to effectively communicate is somewhat limited. All these thoughts were driven by his insecurity, by his self doubt, by his own self loathing. “John.. do want Timmy to be your boyfriend, will you love and protect him, will you care for him when he is sick and cuddle him when he is sad?” Leo asked stroking John’s cheek, “Yes” John said looking Leo in the eye, “And Timmy… do want John to be your boyfriend, will you love and protect him, will you care for him when he is sick and cuddle him when he is sad?” Leo asked rubbing Timmy’s back. “YES!” Timmy squealed, “Then as your daddy I say you are boyfriends… John you may kiss your boyfriend” Leo said grinning. Mike and Leo watched as the two boys kissed for the first time as boyfriends, Mike was having a hard time not laughing at what Leo had said and done with the boys. He grinned at Leo as Leo grinned back. The other boys had silently watched up until now and were creeping up on the new couple, suddenly Timmy and John were wrapped in loving arms as the boys all moved in to congratulate them. After a few very excited minutes Leo got the boys sat back down on put the movie that Jacob and paused back on. “We can talk more tomorrow about you two going out, but for now enjoy the movie and each other and chill” Leo said lovingly. Leo and Mike sat with the boys for a while till Leo suddenly went rigid, he looked at Mike and Mike could see something was wrong. Leo stood up and nodded his head towards the kitchen for Mike to follow him. Leo walked out the room and Mike slipped Ben oFf his lap and followed, Leo was waiting for Mike and shut the kitchen door when Mike had entered, Leo looked at Mike and said, “Where is Tina!” Mike realised that in all the emotion and excitement of the day they had totally forgotten about Tina, she should have been home hours ago. “Call her!” Mike said urgently, Leo grabbed his phone and opened Tina’s contact details, he found a message from her, Hi Leo I am working late be home around 9:30pm Leo showed Mike the text on his phone his hand shaking, he was relieved, for a moment he had feared the worst, he realised that Tina was not just Jason’s mum or a friend, she was becoming part of the family, he realised as he stood there he loved her as a sister. Mike saw Leo shaking and hugged his man. “I was so scared then for a minute” Leo said shaking still. “So was I…” Mike replied, “I thought something had happened to her… she’s kinda grown on me” Leo chuckled as he calmed down. “She’s grown on us both…. but we can’t keep her!” Mike joked, “I know silly… but she is part of the family now” Leo said smiling, “Did we just get a sister?” Mike asked giggling, “Yeah I think we did…” Mike and Leo returned to the boys and Mike snuggled with Ben. Leo pulled Tanner on to his lap and hugged his boy. When Tina got home she cuddled up with Jason and Jacob, Jason was very cuddly with her after being surrounded by so much emotion all day. Jacob too melted into Tina’s side and she wrapped a loving arm over her sons boyfriend. When the movie ended Tina said she was tired and was going to bed. “Mummy… can we sleep with you tonight” Jason asked with his best puppy dog face, Tina looked and Jacob who smiled at her and nodded agreement, she looked to the dads and they too smiled and nodded yes, “Ok… if you want to” Tina replied surprised but very happy, “Cool!” Jason said as he jumped off her lap and tried to drag her off the sofa. Mike and Leo got up and hugged Tina as she got to her feet, “Tina.. we both want you to know we love you.. sister!” Leo said lovingly, Tina hugged them harder and gave them each a kiss on the cheek as she released them. She felt the love from Mike and Leo and felt truly at home with them. She had grown to love them too and couldn’t imagine life with out them. The dads and Tina smiled at each other as the boys looked on, “Yes we love Tina too” Mike said seeing the boys stare. The boys all smiled and Jason took his mums hand and dragged her away, Jacob kissed his dads and the other boys and followed his boyfriend up to bed. Although he and Jason had not discussed sleeping with Tina, he was happy to do so. He loved Tina and she was part of the family as far as Jacob was concerned. Mike and Leo were happy too, it was good for the boys to have the love of Tina in their lives, it brought a balance to the family. It would be good for them all. Mike took the sleeping Timmy upstairs to his bed with John following, he laid Timmy down and John snuggled up, Mike gave Timmy a kiss and then kissed John, “John.. I love you son.. Timmy is lucky to have you in his life” Mike said sincerely, “Love you too daddy” John said softly as sleep was starting to take him. Leo had taken Tanner and Ben upstairs and when Ben headed straight to the dads bed, Tanner followed. They both got into bed and soon the dads followed, Tanner leaned over ben and looked him in the eyes, “Ben… I love you brother” Tanner said and kissed Ben’s cheek. Ben pulled Tanner down into a hug and held Tanner tight as the dads watched on. Mike slipped in beside Ben and Leo beside Tanner. When Ben was finished hugging his brother the boys turned to their dads and snuggled up. After some kisses and cuddles they all fell to sleep. Jason and Jacob lay either side on Tina and snuggled in, she held them close as she experienced the love the boys offered and soaked it up.
